Part-time tuition is based per full-year course. Semester courses are priced per grading period at the same rate. You may choose to pay in full or pay on a monthly basis. Schedule a consultation to get your custom pricing.

  • There is a one-time enrollment fee of $200 per family, due with the initial application.

  • Our Advocates are Valor Global Online staff members who mentor, encourage, and teach students how to effectively advocate for themselves in classes and in the rest of their lives. Advocates meet with students individually weekly to help set goals, prioritize work loads, balance areas of life, and spend time developing students’ spiritual growth.

  • Grades available for live instruction are 3-12; Independent instruction grades offered are K-12.

  • Our goal at Valor is that every student is seen and heard daily: your student will begin every morning with either a video or live zoom call from their advocate in a short homeroom period. We offer a Focus Group staffed by an advocate to assist students in completing their work. Valor creates freedom within structure: students have the ability to participate live or watch recordings of classes. Live classes and focus groups generally run from 8am – 12pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday.

A student would spend time outside of scheduled work times on lessons, content, assessments, and projects. Students can use the flexible timing to continue learning while on trips, participating in sports or activities, and to work at a time of day when they are most productive.

  • Students can expect to spend three to four hours per day total, typically in the morning. Time spent on coursework is dependent upon the classes chosen. Students also meet live with an Advocate every day in homeroom and Focus Groups, and have unlimited access should the student need additional support or encouragement. Teachers and tutors will meet with students as needed. Students are encouraged to attend classes live to facilitate greater interactions with their peers and teachers, but live attendance is not required.

  • A full-time student will take five classes. Students are expected to check into their core subjects three days per week and elective subjects two days per week. Full-time students also will participate in an Impact class, which collaborates with students around the world. Impact classes occur once a week. Students can attend the class in real-time (live) or watch a recording of this class.

  • At VGO, our goal is to help students not only grow academically and spiritually, but to do so in a way that allows them to pursue the gifts, callings, and passions God has placed within them. We follow Texas state standards and use interactive tools like Nearpod and Desmos to ensure that learning is student-centered, rigorous, and engaging. Our teachers plan lessons with a clear biblical focus, and every subject is designed around essential questions and enduring truths. We take special care to design unit plans and lessons that are flexible and tailored to the specific needs of students in each class. This intentionality allows us to hold students to a high academic bar while also supporting them to embrace and pursue the God-given purpose within them.

We’ve developed a VGO-specific Bible curriculum that focuses on biblical literacy, critical thinking, and an understanding of the unified story of Jesus. Our Global Impact curriculum highlights the past, present, and future impacts of missions and the Great Commission. Our evidence-based, novel-centered English Language Arts program for grades 3–12 follows a spiraled approach to Scarborough’s Reading Rope and is vertically aligned to ensure cohesion and growth across grade levels.

Currently, we are in a strategic curriculum adoption phase for math, social studies, and science. During this time, our educators, trained in best practices for instructional design, are curating high quality, standards-aligned resources to meet the specific learning needs of their students. This approach allows for greater creativity, flexibility, and personalization while maintaining academic excellence.

Every step of our curriculum is designed to equip students to learn deeply, think critically, and live out their faith.

  • We are different in many ways, including our strong social community, and our whole-child approach that integrates physical, emotional, spiritual and cognitive growth. Our course offerings that focus on students creating and producing rather than passively taking in content. Our hybrid of live teaching by qualified teachers and flexible timing distinguish us from other online programs, both homeschool and virtual school. The social community fosters relationships, support systems, and increases student motivation and emotional well-being.

  • For daily use, students need a desktop computer or laptop with video and sound capabilities, for watching and participating. The portal is accessible to smartphones and tablets, but is best experienced on desktop or laptop computers. Most of our live calls and opportunities for video collaboration happen through a platform called Zoom, which includes video, sound, and chat. Zoom is a downloadable program with no additional costs for you.

While some of our curriculum can be navigated on phones and tablets, it comes at at a high cost in terms of the quality of experience both for the student using the mobile device, and the other students in class and groups. As a result, we strongly advise our students to use a laptop or desktop computer with the Chrome browser for the most connected experience.

  • Many of our students start at the beginning of the school year. Students can start anytime with a rolling start date and will work with their advocate and teachers to find an appropriate pacing to complete their course(s) and participate in the school community.

  • We are highly flexible and allow students to adjust pacing if necessary. Our teachers will work with you and your student to maintain forward progress and be prepared to learn the critical skills covered in the class.

  • All students participate in week-long mission trips in the spring that are cultural learning experiences. In addition, students are able to study abroad at Valor Korea (outside of Seoul) and Valor USA (near Portland, Oregon) for a term.

  • Valor teaches every subject through a Biblical worldview, rooted in the belief that Jesus Christ is the way to salvation—and we are unapologetic about this foundation. However, students do not need to be Christian to attend. If your child does not yet have a personal relationship with Jesus or experience in the Christian faith but is open to learning and exploring these truths as part of their academic journey, we would be honored to walk alongside them. Our commitment is to love each student well, create a safe environment for honest questions, and invite them to discover truth for themselves as they grow academically and spiritually.

  • Your tuition also pays an entire year of tuition for one student at one of our supported sister schools. (Located in Kenya, the Philippines, and Haiti.) The schools build relationships and connect through Impact groups, course assignments, and other creative ventures. This ongoing connection and partnership changes apathy to impact: giving and contributing to others brings lasting joy, peace, and fulfillment.
